- Providing scholarships to Honors students who choose to complete a Senior Honors Thesis or Project. This includes additional travel funding for professional meetings, presentations, and related opportunities.
- Establishing an annual award for the best student paper published in Lucerna, UMKC’s undergraduate research journal.
