About ๐Ÿ‘“

At the UMKC School of Law, all J.D. graduates now receive commercial bar preparation courses as part of their tuition and fees โ€“ a $4,200 per student savings, which includes boxed lunches provided during the bar exam. With one-third of our students being the first in their family to attend college, access to a legal education and law practice is core to our mission. Ensuring that all our J.D. graduates receive bar preparation support is a critical step to fulfilling our promise that the UMKC School of Law provides a valuable learning experience for all. In providing this resource for all our graduates, we cultivate career paths in rural practice, government work, non-profit service and smaller-sized private practice where employers cannot cover these costs.
